A new horizon for the Port of Huelva

The board of Huelva Port Authority unanimously approved to grant administrative approval for the Naviera Armas to begin the process for setting up a regular line of passenger and goods that Canarian ports of Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the Peninsula through the port of Huelva.

therefore the Huelva are in luck with this new horizon that opens from the Port of Huelva abroad for its economy and diversification of services provided from a port that I have always advocated as one of the most dynamic and most likely our region and our country.

We are living historic moments for the port and the province of Huelva, and this is the first time ever in the province of Huelva we have a line of passengers and goods between Huelva, Canary and incidence in northern Africa, responding well to a historical aspiration of the port of Huelva.

is a very important and even more crucial given the turbulent times for the economy we are living. The draft Naviera Armas, which already operates the Iberian Peninsula through a regular line Portimao, includes the installation of a passenger ship terminal 250 square meters, which is projected through a prefabricated building for easy mounting on the ground in which the company will invest 126,500 euros, adding 300,000 for the works detailed adaptation of the South Pier.

For this, the ship being built in the Canary Island shipyards Zamakona of Bilbao, a floating pontoon, which is necessary for the terminal, which costs about five million euros, bringing the total investment of this initiative amounts to almost 5.5 million euros.

addition, the company is withheld to cover the ferry liner 'Teide Volcano', now in its final phase of construction in the shipyards of Vigo. It is a vessel of 175 meters long, 26.5 meters wide, 2,000 linear feet of ferries and passenger capacity of 1,200 people, who can reach a cruising speed of about 25 knots. Naviera Armas is investing in it 125 million euros.

And while this liner comes with a round trip week, 28 hours, has the vocation to complete a connection of three trips a week.

But it should be noted that this facility online by the Arms shipping has become the port of Huelva on strategic and economic asset for these kinds of connections for passengers and goods, because there are other major companies in the European market interested in starting a business similar to that of weapons and that the Port has maintained some contact.

And, I insist and insist, the Port of Huelva is ready to welcome the largest ship, the cruise or ferry currently operating on site, is ready for all possibilities of diversification of activities you bid or present. We have a port very prepared and very versatile.

A Virtual Exhibition

Today magazine starts rolling A magazine. One publication that I have the pleasure to collaborate and born with the clear intention of entertaining while informing on many different topics related primarily to art, entertainment and technology.

With an initial circulation of 5,000 copies and quarterly basis has begun to distribute throughout the Cantabrian region coinciding with the holiday season.
A magazine has its own website where access to all articles and contents, and a Facebook profile where comments or suggestions for successive numbers.

Similarly, for all those interested in enjoying it and not have access to the print edition in that I could browse Web in its entirety through a convenient flash viewer.

But if anything stands out for its originality and innovation is the raid on several articles of augmented reality. A great example of technology for the disclosure enables the reader interactivity with the content covered by SEMARAC CREATIONS. The following video is an example of how it works in the magazine with an article that discusses the Picos de Europa.

From now appear on the side of this blog a permanent link to A magazine for those you want to spend time entertaining.

Opting for a transport more competitive, sustainable and safe for our province

Seven of Andalusia port authorities have joined together to create the Public Ports of Andalusia under the Ministry of Public Works a communications gear, called the Logistics Network of Andalusia, which undoubtedly is a strong commitment to transport more competitive, more sustainable and safer, for which I am concerned, for our province of Huelva.

Therefore, we have signed a protocol that starts the project, which will directly result in the economic development of Puerto de Huelva, as this agreement is intended to make logistics an element of economic development and improvement of the implementation of the productive and competitive in our province, especially through the efficient use of transport infrastructure.

addition, the Logistics Network was created with a budget commitment of the port authorities of 46.1 million euros for the period 2011-2014, to be allocated to the entity that will manage this network.

The importance of this protocol is its vocation to promote intermodal ports with the terrestrial infrastructure, foster strategic alliances between operators in the transport chain, working with them in the establishment multimodal logistics solutions viable in the medium to long term, increase the competitiveness of the ports of general interest in Andalusia, increase the competitiveness of export production and jobs Andalusian service activities associated with transportation.

With it, the Port of Huelva have the opportunity, in turn, attract new traffic through these areas of logistics, especially the export and import, while improving its position towards the development of Motorways of the Tues driven by the EU.

In our times, is also very important that this project will facilitate the efficient use of infrastructure, improving sustainability and competitiveness of the Andalusian productive system and exploiting the potential of the geostrategic situation of Andalusia in international communications.

Indian Hairstyles For Wedding Reception

An exciting new responsibility

As most know, since last July I was commissioned a new corporate responsibility at the head of the Port Authority of Huelva, an exciting challenge that I take great responsibility of promoting one of the most important institutions our province.

My new responsibility has made me also to drop the charges of Valverde del Camino Mayor and Senator, so I face a new institutional phase, while organic level, I am still the president PSOE de Huelva.

I put here an excerpt from the first interview as president of the Port of Huelva, the newspaper has made me Odiel Información, so you can see the role and objectives of the institution's present and future.

"I am optimistic about the industrial future of the Port of Huelva"

is a veteran of the province that has accumulated over the years dozens of objections to their backs and all have left their hallmark. Now it is his turn to exercise as chairman of the Port Authority of Huelva, a challenge that is "very attractive" at this stage of his life

- How did the call that informed her of her appointment?
I have spent many years working as a public servant, I am a pharmacist and clinical chemist, but at the time that I left my profession to devote to public service, you try to be where it can be more useful. I was very happy in my work, but there are a number of circumstances, the application for retirement in the retirement of the former president of the Port Authority, José Antonio Marin Rite, and when the Minister of Public Works to work and called me direct the Port Authority, I accept delighted that the Port of Huelva attracts, is a challenge for any public servant and therefore took the decision to abandon two things: the Municipality of Valverde and my seat in the Senate.

-When you receive the appointment, what is forged idea of what should be the port of Huelva?
El Puerto de Huelva has been and is a very important socio-economic instrument. It is the second port of Andalusia and the sixth in the national port system. What I intend in this new stage is to keep the Port of Huelva in the ranking and, if possible, improve it to keep taking the key role in the province and this is achieved through the introduction of new technologies, increased competitiveness and an increase of port services. I think we have room to improve our position and scale any set, and in that sense we to work.

"These challenges," would be achieved through continued work or should it give it a whirl? The starting
continuous work and well done has been done in the port for Marín Rite has been a great president, and on that basis, with the help of government workers, you can go further.

- What kind of services you plan to put in the future?
This port has a potential as is the transport of fruits in a predominantly agricultural province. The Port has long been working and going to the most important trade events to launch this service in the future, but do not rule anything We are prepared for anything. We can also serve as a port of call for cruise ships, tomorrow, we are prepared to receive the largest cruise ship that is sailing the seas in the world and aspire to that, but for this to be carried out not only takes the actions of the port it is also necessary arising tour operators are able to offer passengers a unique attraction with at least eight hours of travel services. This is a challenge facing the province in his hands.

Disney Land Couple Bracelet

Morocco-European Union. Campalans Foundation, November 5, 2010.

The advanced status is born in October 2008 program is the embryo of a new legal and institutional framework between the EU and Morocco, a tool to contribute to the deepening of relations between them, without becoming a member of the EU itself .

EA is to achieve a political objective, formulated as a declaration of intention, intentions of both parties to achieve these objectives, but devoid of legal value.

In this direction there are three planes that would stand out as an introduction because I believe that we are interested in particular:

1. Spain's role as promoter of this initiative actor within the EU:

Spain has the challenge of consolidating to the EU, but especially to Morocco for his role as a bridge. It is clear that Spain has a special interest in cooperation on security and migration control, due mainly to pressure on the borders of Ceuta and Melilla. Still, the commercial and economic interests in general also have a starring role and interest in the development of this country.

In this regard it is noteworthy in Granada Summit on 6 and 7 March 2010 during the English EU presidency. This was the first summit with a southern Mediterranean country and the first Arab country to have a summit with the EU. It was a great opportunity to underline the commitment of the EU for multilateral cooperation, embodied today by the Union for the Mediterranean.

The summit addressed many issues, (perhaps too?) Primarily framed by the pillars of good governance, democratization and economic modernization and social cohesion of Morocco, as well as addressing major global challenges, in inevitably, if we want results, we must work together: climate change, the financial and economic crisis and migration, to name a few aspects. Notably

Parallel also hosted the first EU-Morocco Business Summit, sponsored by the Foreign Ministry, the Junta de Andalucía, Casa Árabe, the Employers Confederation of Andalusia and the General Confederation of Moroccan Entrepreneurs.

Spain therefore has to take responsibility and weight of the momentum of this EA in the EU framework.

2. The advanced status is a benchmark that may be of interest to other countries in southern and eastern Mediterranean.

The success of the advanced status will undoubtedly lead to other states take a dim view closer relations with the EU achieving greater integration and this is an excellent opportunity for the EU to achieve these states carry out institutional reforms and more ambitious policies, where the construction of the rule of law and protection of human rights must be in the frontispiece.

is also true that this differential treatment and "privileged" with Morocco can have a negative reading by the other Maghreb countries. How do you work for the emergence of positive competition between them and non-negative, weakening the end of the Arab Maghreb Union?

3. And thirdly, most importantly, it is essential to domestic impact it can have political and economic life Morocco, which can also benefit, as after all, the cohesion policy of the EU.

This has to be translated into specific actions and progress.

THE WAY DONE

I talked about the summit in Grenada last March, but the summit is another step in a process of rapprochement between Morocco and the EU that goes way back. To highlight the main (not only) achievements: 1960

start of diplomatic relations between the EEC and Morocco
trade agreement
1969 1976 first cooperation agreement
1996 agreement association, in force since March 1, 2000
2005-2010 Action Plan of the ENP that locks and reinforced by the Union for the Mediterranean. This year we just have to renew the Neighbourhood Action Plan and is a good opportunity to establish bases in every way to move in the right direction.

focus on the future

We are in the round table will take care to address the economic implications for Morocco has, has had and above all, may have the advanced status. Without doubt, this economic and financial dimension is social more fundamental. Chapter

financial economic down that joint activities will focus on 4 main themes:

1. adapting Moroccan laws to European standards (the acquis communautaire)
2.realizar a global free trade agreement and deep, in the sense that I pointed
3.establecer a smooth economic and social cooperation
4.la Accession from Morocco to the trans-European networks and transport infrastructure and sectoral cooperation in areas such as energy, information technology and communication, agriculture, fisheries, mining, environment and water.

(1) With adaptation of legislation Moroccan European standards is to facilitate the integration of Morocco into the EU internal market. Furthermore, it is helping to stimulate structural reforms, economic growth and simultaneously reduce poverty and develop social cohesion and employment. Is thus an ambitious goal that will take place gradually incorporating the acquis communautaire through a joint mechanism to systematize the legal reserve in all sectors.

(2) A Free Trade Agreement will allow the free movement of goods, services and the temporary presence of natural persons for purposes professionals.

Current negotiations focus on the liberalization of trade in services and agricultural products, and the right of establishment.

NOTE: Please ditch the EU EEMM themselves have taken years to approve the services directive and the 27 barely have made the transposition of this directive. In Spain it was mainly through two laws known as, the umbrella law (which established the general principles) and the omnibus bill (Amendment of more than 40 sectoral laws)

Regarding the immediate future, the new negotiations developed considering the sensitivities of the sectors affected economic and involve the exchange of industrial products, capital movements and patents, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, intellectual property rights, consumer protection and environmental issues, among others.

(3) In the area of economic cooperation and social , has suggested a working group composed of representatives of employers and entrepreneurs in the EU and Morocco to help detect any obstacle. It also provides work on standardization and technical regulation and industrial property. The intent of this axis measures are aimed at facilitating investments (for which legal certainty will be essential).

has also opened a dialogue on employment, labor and social affairs that includes gender equality, adaptation of qualifications or child labor.

(4) The last line of action is the accession of Morocco to the trans-European networks and infrastructures transport and sectoral cooperation in areas such as energy, information technology and communication, agriculture, fishing, mining, environment and water.

As relevant initiatives, has confirmed the willingness of both parties to cooperate to improve connections for all modes of transport giving Morocco a status that allows them to take part in decisions and approaching the regulations. For example, the "Single Sky", the "Motorways of the Sea" or the possibility of building a high speed track on the Gibraltar Strait. There are also commitments to strengthen environmental perspective Moroccan law, the preservation of water quality, or modernization of agriculture as employing 40% of the workforce. Having briefly pointed

forecasts on economic EA would release some questions for discussion.

SOME QUESTIONS STILL HAVE NO ANSWER

Are all these developments on economic matters will be sustainable over time without a genuine democracy in Morocco?

I say this because the EA does not include any kind of democratic conditionality or on the question of Western Sahara. In this way, it has lost the ability to apply pressure and demand reforms in exchange for the granting of a status differential in comparison with all the Maghreb and funding. Is this really a lost opportunity or believe that growth and development of society and the economy exercised by themselves Alawi shift lever toward democratization?

Despite progress foreign investment, legal uncertainty and corruption remain major obstacles. For example, Morocco dropped 9 positions in the Index of Corruption Perception 2009 (since 89 th). "The pitfalls of legal uncertainty and corruption could end up weakening this journey started?

Beyond the speeches it is clear that the EU has dealt with North African countries separately and differently, never at the regional level through the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA). Do you think that the model applied with Morocco will become a role model in North Africa, ie generate competition beneficial cooperation between countries, or it will be a negative competition contrary to the revitalization of the UMA?

A generalization of special relations "reforms regimes discourage diehards? Do multilateral policies continue to have meaning? How do we combine all these actions that work in parallel?
