Introduction to the History of World Christianity
next April 11 will launch this new event organized by the Faculty of Religious and Philosophical Studies and the Department of Extension, Arts & Culture UCM.
Easter month was chosen to begin a new cycle in the Extension Center at UCM, it is called "Introduction to the History of the Christian world" and is organized by the Faculty of Religious and Philosophical and the Directorate of Extension Arts and Culture. The appointment will be on Monday April 11 at 20:00 pm in the UCM Extension Center and will take its first chapter the theme "Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ" by Fr Samuel Fernandez, DD, Professor Faculty of Theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC).

On Tuesday 12 April at 20:00 will continue the UCM Art Film Series specially dedicated to Easter. Now is the Time "Jesus Christ Superstar", an adaptation that director Norman Jewison performed the rock opera of Webber and Rice, which adds some shots of desert and rock walls.
This tape will allow all attendees to enjoy a latter-day version of Christ, where everyone sings in various pop styles.

director, producer and actor born in Toronto Canada July 21, 1926. Has distinguished himself as director of global hits as Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar and In the Heat of the Night.
His directorial debut was with a Bachelor in Need, followed by titles such as Do not send me flowers, The Art of Loving and The King of Games. But his first success came with In the Heat of the Night, an excellent film halfway between the thriller and movie of complaint.

Catholic Reading from "Jesus Christ Superstar"
To understand the intention of the film "Jesus Christ Superstar" we must remember that this is the film version of a hit Broadway musical which opens in 1970, during the heyday of the hippie movement, and is made into a film in 1973. That is, as seen by an audience that has a particular sensitivity for a bounded group of problems. Problems involving new young people's relationships with political and economic power, the emergence of consciousness of the struggle against racism, young people full of doubts because society gives them tools lespermitan find his destiny and fear of being thrown into war they do not understand. These young men burst into the social life with the idea that they are a living force that can change the world by appealing only to love and not violence.

Contracuarteto brings jazz to the UCM
participate in the activity Óscar Andrés Pérez, the clarinetist and saxophonist who accompanied Sting in the past Song Festival of Viña del Mar.
Jazz lovers will enjoy this 14th of April at 20:00 hours, an amazing free concert on the Extension Center at the University of Talca Maule, as the Banda Contracuarteto be presented for the first time in the city .
This group consists of four musicians of great experience and special taste for variety musical styles of jazz such as: Roberto C. Lecaros on bass, Cristian Gallardo on alto sax and flute, tenor sax Andrés Pérez, and Felix Lecaros on drums.
Notably, Andrés Pérez is one of the great national talent and finished to become known as the saxophonist with Sting at the Festival de la Cancion de Viña del Mar past.
