I have spent many years working as a public servant, I am a pharmacist and clinical chemist, but at the time that I left my profession to devote to public service, you try to be where it can be more useful. I was very happy in my work, but there are a number of circumstances, the application for retirement in the retirement of the former president of the Port Authority, José Antonio Marin Rite, and when the Minister of Public Works to work and called me direct the Port Authority, I accept delighted that the Port of Huelva attracts, is a challenge for any public servant and therefore took the decision to abandon two things: the Municipality of Valverde and my seat in the Senate.

El Puerto de Huelva has been and is a very important socio-economic instrument. It is the second port of Andalusia and the sixth in the national port system.
